Commissions

I love to collaborate on commissions with clients, to make a bespoke piece of work, and have completed many commissions for clients.

The commission process is fairly relaxed, It can involve as little or as much interaction as you would like. We can chat via email and phone calls, or Skype.

I usually allow 4 – 6 weeks to complete a painting, (*this can vary depending on other commitments ) and depending on size.)

Once we’ve decided on colours, and the look and feel of the painting, I initially send some painted sketches of what the broad shape of the finished painting would look like, for your approval.

Clients often request a painting that has sold, that they would like recreated. I am happy to do this.

Once agreed on the direction you would like the painting to go, I order the bespoke canvas, and start work. I would then send you images of your painting, halfway through the process, to see if you are happy with the direction of the piece.

Some people like to be very involved, and others prefer to just see the finished painting. Whatever suits you best .

Ordering

If you would like to buy a painting that you’ve seen on the website, please email me either through the contact page on here, or email me at claireacockayne@gmail.com. If I can sell it directly, I will then let you know, and we can discuss payment and shipping options.

How is my payment handled?

I accept bank transfers, and can supply my bank details. Once the money has gone into my account, I will dispatch the painting.

Payments can be taken through PayPal in British Pounds Sterling. But they do charge a fee, so I would prefer it if you could do the transaction by bank transfer. However, if this is not possible, I will accept Paypal payments. You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. I do not store any of your debit/credit card details. Please send me an email with your details and order to claireacockayne@gmail.com.
